Kate studied physiotherapy after high school, graduating from her degree in 2009. She spent a gap year abroad in the USA, Europe and Asia on a working holiday and visiting family. She then worked as a physio in the Northern Territory and rural Victoria.

She went on to study medicine at Monash University, and worked at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a neurosurgery doctor, and then Bendigo as a general surgery doctor. She then studied internal medicine for several years in her home town on the Mornington Peninsula. After several intervals of maternity leave Kate decided that GP training would suit her very active lifestyle and family life.

Kate and husband Harry, 3 young kids, and small menagerie relocated to Mansfield for her training/their ongoing work. In her spare time Kate partakes in climate activism, rides her horse, runs/cycles/swims, and loves getting out into the great outdoors with their young family.
